Revealing unseen surveillance technology through narrative storytelling
Introducing the Flock Safety ‘Alpha’ first-response drone called for a thoughtful visual approach that reflected its advanced features. To convey the intelligence behind its optical-thermal modes and rapid area coverage, we conducted in-depth studio research. We explored how contextual narrative storytelling could make complex hardware placement and network operations clearer for a specialist audience.
We created a film story that simulates a responsive surveillance headquarters, blending 2D UI components with expansive 3D urban environments. Developing a textured x-ray aesthetic enabled us to traverse the camera payload’s casing to reveal intricate multi-lens constructions. Accurate carbon fibre materiality and athermal lens colouration grounded the sequence in highly detailed, authentic realism.
Grounding these technical breakthroughs in an atmospheric urban dusk sequence turns Flocks’ complex technology and service into an actively engaging, visceral experience. These unexpected aesthetics elevate the Flock brand, driving immense momentum across the global keynote and actively commanding attention across wider social channels.
